Okay, let me start off by saying that both these franchises are awesome. Sadly Marvel is out of luck because DC is going to leave them in the dust.
First let's take a look at Dc's movie line-up for the next few years.
Doesn't that look awesome! The full DC phase one. They even had the suicide squad mixed in there! Not to mention all of these actors are young meaning they can keep reprising the role for several years.
Who knows maybe this is not the confirmed line-up and we see even more heroes join the cinematic stage.
Now let's take a look at Marvel's problems.
Chris Evans no longer wants to play Captain America after the Infinity Wars. He has said that he wants to focus more on his directing, and is going to leave the Marvel universe after his contract is up. That leaves a pretty big hole in the Avengers squad for phase 4.
RDJ is old. He can no longer play Ironman after the Infinty Wars. That's a massive hole from the Avengers as well as the hearts of many Marvel fans.
By the time phase 3 ends Mark is going to be old as well. He is in his mid forties right now, but has said that he wants to pursue other projects after phase 3. Another large hole, a hulk sized one.
At this time it looks like only Thor will keep going into Phase 3 but even that's not a guarantee.
See that there's a huge whole in Marvel's line-up going into phase 4. Of course people can say what about Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and Ant-man? Well to these people I say, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonderwoman, Flash, Green Lantern, the Suicide Squad, and Shazam. So I believe after phase 3 DC will crush Marvel in the cinemas.
What about on the small screen?
Well for DC you have...
Legends of Tommorow
Isn't that line up great? And it's completely separate from the cinematic universe. Now we might have Agents of Shield and Agent Carter on the other side, but they're both struggling. Daredevil is epic, but it's nothing compared to DC's lineup.
