Following the critical and all around piece of crap that was 1997's Batman and Robin, visionary director Christopher Nolan rebooted the once thought destroyed Batman movie franchise with 2005's Batman Begins. He went on to create one of the most successful (grossing an estimated $2.5 billion worldwide) and critically acclaimed movie trilogies of ALL TIME!!!!!
When Warner Bros. announced that it was moving forward with plans to bring not only a rebooted Superman to the big screen but creating a Universe where the Justice League would be formed, fans assumed that Nolan himself would be the one to make all of our sweaty nerd dreams become reality. When asked if he had plans for his Batman, continuing his story in the new Universe, Nolan said this:
“No, none at all… We’re finished with all we’re doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character.”
Nolan did go on to write the story for the 2013 Superman reboot Man of Steel and continues to have a presence in the DC cinematic universe. But what if Nolan did go on and direct a Justice League movie? What would that even look like? Well, since this is the internet and it's filled with nerds with dreams (like me), you don't have to wonder anymore. Check out my trailer below to find out what I imagine could have been.
I also made a Batman v Superman trailer after the movie had officially been announced. This one is more in line of what the real movie is actually going for.
