As you all know by now, Ben Affleck will portray Batman in [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870), and it feels like I'm the last person that's not behind "Batffleck." There are so many other actors that could play The Dark Knight better than Ben Affleck, and not run the risk of ruining the character for everybody (cough cough Daredevil cough cough). So without further ado, here is my list of actors that could be Batman better than Affleck.
1. Karl Urban
Karl Urban is rugged, handsome and has experience playing a superhero type character with Judge Dredd. On the TV show Almost Human, Urban is also dark and brooding, which is the main characteristic that makes someone Batman.
2. Gerard Butler
When I heard that they needed a new Batman, I immediately thought of Gerard Butler. A couple months or so of accent training is all this man would need to slip into a batsuit and kick some ass.
3. Wes Bentley
Wes Bentley has been a fan favorite for Batman for a while, and Christopher Nolan has admitted that he wanted him to play Batman in place of Christian Bale in The Dark Knight trilogy. Bentley has had experience with superhero movies, playing Blackheart in Ghost Rider, and has an overall dark and mysterious look surrounding him.
4. Jensen Ackles
This is an older picture of Jensen Ackles, but if you've ever seen Supernatural, then you know that he plays a dark and brooding monster hunter. Ackles has also said in an interview that playing Batman was one of his dreams, and a dream that should rightfully come true.
5. Ian Somerhalder
I personally have never seen Ian Somerhalder's work, but the man looks like Bruce Wayne, and has been a fan favorite for a while. From what I gather, he plays a dark character on The Vampire Diaries, and the biggest requirement for Batman is darkness.
6. Sam Worthington
Sam Worthington is an amazing action star, and is just waiting for a superhero role to show up on his doorstep. Doing movies like Clash of the Titans, Worthington has earned his place as a candidate for Batman.
7. David Boreanaz
David Boreanaz was offered the role of Batman before Christian Bale and turned it down so it didn't interfere with his show Bones. The fact that he was considered before the arguably best Batman makes him deserving of the role.
8. Brandon Routh
Brandon Routh has played the boy scout type of characters like Superman and The Atom, but I'm confident that he can pull off Batman. He is a talented actor, and can nail Bruce Wayne, as shown by his portrayal of Ray Palmer in Arrow.
9. Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper is another ideal actor that people think of when you say Batman. His performance in Limitless was outstanding, and he's worked on a superhero movie before, doing the voice of Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy.
10. Keanu Reeves
Yes, Keanu Reeves is a little older than all of my other choices, but he has said in an interview that two roles he would like to take before he dies are Wolverine, and Batman. Now I would love to see Keanu play Wolverine, as a matter of fact, I couldn't think of anyone else to do it, but it would be amazing if he were Batman. If you haven't seen John Wick, go watch it, and you'll know that he has the pure grit to play Batman, and the man can play anything. Mostly samurais, but he can play any role you put in front him.
Bonus: Actors that could play Robin
He's a small 18 year old and he looks like he's 12, plus he's an amazing actor, as shown by Ender's Game.
Dylan O'Brien is the perfect Dick Grayson, and an up-and-coming actor.
Aaron Paul would be perfect for a more Chris O'Donnell feel, having a grown man in an outfit similar to the looks of the batsuit. Plus, it can't be as bad as Need for Speed.
