So, I was watching an educational video piece about physics and the universe with none other than the great Neil DeGrasse Tyson. And every 30 minutes or so an ad comes on. So what happens next? The final ad comes on and it shows a picture of J.K. Simmons in character next to a bunch of puppets. In my head, I'm thinking, wow, is J.K. Simmons doing a film as Jim Henson. The reason I thought so was because the picture of Simmons mirrored an iconic picture of Jim Henson's face next to all his muppets. Shown below.
So then I realize that it's not a film about Jim Henson or the Muppets but it obviously draws its characters from the life of Jim Henson. I figured, let me give this a shot, thinking it was a movie or whathaveyou. Turns out, it's a web series about a puppeteer, (Simmons), who passed away from a heart attack but was mourned by the world because of all the joy he brought people with his puppet shows.
Here's an image of Simmons in character...
The film caught my attention and kept it for the entirety of the 4 parts that have been released. Needless to say, I've subscribed and can't wait for any other series this channel creates. I've provided a link below and you will seriously enjoy this series. It's a bit of Muppets mixed in with some Alice in Wonderland settings. You will definitely love every minute of the series and everyone who has commented on YouTube described the show as "the best advertisement link to a web series ever."
