For the last 8 months, "Time Runs Out" has been running throughout the main Avengers titles. As we know, those issues all took place 8 months in the future and the regular Marvel universe went through its regular routine. But, after Secret Wars last week, we learned that time really has run out for the Marvel universe, and the Earth only had 8 hours to live. But, the main question is what led up to these events. That is the question that is being answered in this comic series now.

During "Time Runs Out" by Hickman, we saw alot of events taking place but we didn't fully know why they were happening. In this comic, we finally get a chance to see some background players getting put into focus which also makes Hickmans series even more epic. To see the conversation between Steve Rogers and the Avengers where he explains that the world is ending and there is nothing that can be done to stop it was amazing. There was no words spoken by some characters, which also portrayed the dread they were feeling at the time. Sides had to be chosen and plans of "payback" had to be done. We all know how this played out during the Avengers comics, but thats only part of the story. Captain America And The Mighty Avengers #8 isn't perfect, but still remains an example of a tie-in of this nature done right. It sets a great example for all “Last Days” titles yet to come. If this is what we can expect from these titles going forward then readers are in for a solid event both on Battleworld and before. By the end of this issue, we are around in the middle of "Time Runs Out", which means that there's alot more story that has to be told before we get to the end. I just hope it's not the end of this comic series, as it has been a good one from start to finish. I give this comic a 8 out of 10.
