As most, if not all, of you know, Marvel's arguably most anticipated film ever, Captain America: Civil War is coming to us next year. And we've already gotten enough rumors, theories, and confirmed news to get us all screaming like we are 2 year olds, but some people have been worrying about whether or not Civil War will be a good film. So, since this is a 'Wondering' post, let's look at some concerns people have.
The Concerns of Different People:
1) Too many characters
One of the biggest complaints people have about TASM2 is that there were too many characters. We saw Electro, Green Goblin, Rhino, Spiderman, and Gwen Stacey, and that's only the main characters. Ok, so, how does that compare to Civil War?
Well, in Civil War, we know we'll see Black Panther, Falcon, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Vision, War Machine, whichever character Martin Freeman is playing, Spiderman(speculated), General Thunderbolt Ross(speculated to turn into Red Hulk), Baron Zemo, Crossbones, Agent 13/Sharon Carter, and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. Now, that's one heck of a lot of main characters. So, many people are concerned that with so many characters, the film won't be able to give enough screen time and do them justice in a 2.5 hour long movie. It's a very understandable concern, and even the most staunch and hard core Marvel fan will share this concern.
2) Enough Captain America
I mean, this is, after all, a Captain America film. Dang, Captain America is even in the title! So, another concern is that Civil War will be more like Avengers 3, rather than A Captain America movie. Yes, even after a few people saying that it gives sufficient screen time to Captain America and his storyline involving Bucky, they are still having doubts.
3) Iron Man being portrayed as a villain
This may be one of the biggest concerns, and most talked about concern, of all. No one wants Iron Man to look like a villain. Because, Iron Man is, by far, not a villain. He's a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist; but he's not a villain. So, basically, they want us to feel like we can't decide which side is the right side. We need to feel like our soul and heart has been cut in half.
My opinion on it all:
I can honestly see the basis for every concern I just listed. This film is a little scary. Marvel has never done a film with so many main characters as this one. Sure, they've done both Avengers films, but neither had as many as this film will have. So, I can honestly say that while I'm not very concerned, I do hold some. So, I guess that we'll have to see if our concerns were wrong or not.
What do you think aboutCaptain America: Civil War? Do you think that the Russo bros will accomplish this incredible feat, or not? No matter what you think on this matter, please comment and tell us your concerns, or why you lack concern. Until next time, Goodbye and thanks for reading!!!
