I've been a fan of Batman ever since I was a little kid! The neighborhood kids used to hang out at my house, play Nintendo, and watch the 60's Batman show while chillin on Bean Bag chairs! I have tremendous respect for whoever enters this world and makes it their own with the exception of Joel Schumaker! We've seen incredible performances of Batman over the years from the campy in Adam West to the i need a cough drop by Christian Bale! Every one of these has their place in the Batman legacy. Today, however, my blog is not about Batman himself, but the yin to his yang, The Clown Prince of Crime, himself, the Joker! As Heath Ledger so perfectly put it, " And, here we go." My first exposure to the Joker was to Ceasar Romero who always seemed to try to out do the Riddler on the show! Out do? Yes, that's the exact word. Out do. It's been a case of each actor that takes on the Joker mantra outdoing the other! First, Ceasar Romero, then Jack Nicholson, and of course Heath Ledger! I say all this to say that Jared Leto has some big clown shoes to fill! If you take a look at the latest leaked set video from Suicide Squad, I think you'll agree with me that he's no joke! In the scene, Margo Robbie (Harley Quinn) and him appear to have a confrontation and while the only sound that can be heard is Robbie screaming "Get out!" Leto seems to take the stage emerging from his car as a comedian would a curtain. As Henry David Thoreau said, "The Powerful Play goes on and You must Contribute a Verse." Does he ever! His mannerisms are smooth and flawless like a dancer that has perfected their craft over years and years of study. This is one scene! One single, solitary scene! I don't know about you but I'm amped for this movie!
