Originally being directed by David Fincher (Gone Girl, The Social Network) and starring Christian Bale (Knight Of Cups, Exodus: Gods & Kings) as the inventor of Apple. Steve Jobs was a rapidly evolving film last year, looking at several directors and actors to replace Fincher and Bale when they jumped ship. Finally we stopped on Danny Boyle (Sunshine, 127 Hours) to direct the film and Michael Fassbender (Slow West, X-Men: Days Of Future Past) to star as Steve Jobs, the acclaimed creator of Apple.

Now we have our very first look at the film which releases on October 9th 2015.

One of my deepest concerns when Fassbender joined the project was how different he looks to Steve Jobs, but the filmmakers have pulled it off, he really does bear a resemblance. I have no doubt in Fassbender's talent, he's one of the best working in Hollywood right now, with incredible performances in 12 Years A Slave, Shame, Inglorious Basterds and his two X-Men films, he's just about done it all.

Danny Boyle is a filmmaker I've never really loved. I've liked a number of his films, mainly Sunshine and 127 Hours, but other than that he's never really stood out to me. From this trailer, I am liking what I see, but of course, this is just a trailer, the film could be completely different and this short tease is really just one scene.

I was incredibly excited about the film when David Fincher was on board, he is one of my all time favorite directors and I was hoping he could do something similar to what he did with The Social Network, which in my opinion is his best film. They both focus on geniuses working hard on a revolutionary piece of technology, in Steve Jobs the focus will be on certain Apple products, whereas in The Social Network, we saw the creation of Facebook. But after this trailer my excitement is back, I'm a big fan of the story of Steve Jobs, I even enjoyed the film from 2013 which saw Ashton Kutcher take on the role in jOBS.

The film stars Michael Fassbender (Shame) as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogen (Neighbors) as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet (Titanic) as Joanna Hoffman and Jeff Daniels (Looper) as John Sculley and is directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire). The film releases later this year on October 9th.
