Ever since Marvel was started by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, readers of their comics have been debating for what seems like ages, on who is the strongest of them all. I'm here to give you my list, and it's not just opinion. (I am excluding anyone who has acted as a villain on their own accord, even they have been a hero at one point and also cosmic beings as they are 'in a league of their own')

#10 Professor X (Charles Xavier)

Professor x is a Telepathic genius
Professor x is a Telepathic genius

This is a no brainer (pun intended), arguably the most powerful mutant telepath to ever live, Charles Xavier is a force to be reckoned with. Though his body is broken, from being crushed by rubble while fighting an alien named Lucifer, who dropped a stone block on Charles (no, he was not shot in the back) crippling his legs for the rest of his life, his mind is in pristine condition. He has been the only telepath ever to be able to handle the power of Cerebro, a device that lets him find a mutant (think about how powerful this is) anywhere in the world with his mind, as it magnifies his powers tenfold. Charles has even been known to take over someones mind. Think of anything you could do with Telepathy and this man can do it and he can get into someones head from 250 miles away or more.

#9 Invisible Woman

Invisible Woman and her Team
Invisible Woman and her Team

Susan Storm, founder of the Fantastic Four (now the Future Foundation), brother to the Human Torch, wife of Mr. Fantastic and best friend to the Thing is surrounded by heroes. Getting her powers from a cosmic radiation explosion while exploring space with her family and soon to be team, her life changed instantly. These powers and her powerful woman characteristics make her one of the most powerful women in comics today, and even in our own world women look up to her strength. With her gifts she can create force fields, turn invisible, turn objects around her invisible, create psionic projections and even fly. With her projections (created like a force field), she can put additional force and create battering rams or explosions. She could even kill someone by putting force fields inside them and expanding them (Good thing her husband can stretch).

#8 Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd)
Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd)

Silver Surfer born on planet Zenn-La as Norrin Radd, became a Herald of Galactus to save the love of his life. Galactus bestowed upon him the Power Cosmic and the duty of Herald of Galactus, to find him new planets to eat. Being kind of heart Silver Surfer did his duty, but found him only planets with no inhabitants. After a time it became harder and harder to find those planets, and as time had gone by Norrin Radd had forgotten his love for life, and led Galactus to Earth. He was then met by the Fantastic Four, and then talked out of destroying Earth so he helped stop Galactus. He lives on Earth now as an exile only trying to protect his new home from invaders. Silver Surfer because of the Power Cosmic he can absorb energy of any kind and turn it into power. He can travel through space in hyper-speed on his board and is virtually indestructible. His mind and body are given great power through the Power Cosmic.

#7 Wolverine

Wolverine (James Howlett)
Wolverine (James Howlett)

Originally Wolverine was created as a punching bag for the Hulk (was once ripped in half by the hulk). One of the oldest living mutants today, Wolverine was born James Howlett (around the 1800s). Born with the ability to produce bone like claws (3 from each hand, each 12'' long) and heal himself. Later he was found by the Weapon X program and had adamantium the strongest metal (other than Vibranium) grafted onto his bones. The only reason he survived was because of his preexisting healing factor. With his healing factor, senses and strength heightened by the procedure he became a living weapon. His feral animalistic side always with him and no memory after the procedure, made him one of the most dangerous beings on earth. After he was found by the X-Men, he gained some of his memories back with the help of Xavier and he found his calling as a hero.

#6 Vision

Vision
Vision

Created out of the old android body of the original Human Torch by Ultron (yes that evil robot) and given the brain patterns of the fallen hero Wonder Man, to finally put an end to the Avengers. Vision turned on his creator, after he realized his faults and became an Avengers after being tested. Vision is one of the most powerful Avengers to ever be on the team. He can become intangible, has super strength, solar energy beam from crystal, body mass control, endurance and flight. Because of his short life, the Avengers were the only family he knew and he treated them as such. He even marries Scarlett Witch, a fellow Avenger.

#5 Human Torch and Iceman

Iceman vs Human Torch
Iceman vs Human Torch

Bobby Drake (Iceman) is an Omega level (these are very rare, Franklin Richards is one) mutant born with the power to freeze at the molecular level. Though his powers have only reached full potential when his mind has been taken over he is still a force of nature. Bobby has Thermokinesis, where he can freeze his own body and the air around it too absolute zero where molecules actually stop moving (he's been known to be able to get so cold that he can stop a massive nuclear explosion). Along with Cyrokinesis, the ability to freeze the air around him into an object like a baseball bat or a slide for his to get around faster (see above picture), his imagination is his limit. Other powers include Hydrokinesis (traveling along bodies of water), the ability to turn his own body into ice, and turn into an organic form of ice where he is indestructible as he can just put him back together like pouring a spilled cup of water back into the cup. (he could even grow his body so big that he could rival the Hulk.

Johnny Storm (Human Torch) was given these powers after a cosmic radiation explosion just like Invisible woman. Johnny can fly at supersonic speeds, cover himself in plasma (literally becomes fire), his body can produce a super-nova by going over a million degrees Fahrenheit, project fireballs, pyrokinesis (ability to control and abosorb fire/heat)

#4 Thor

Thor Odinson
Thor Odinson

Fan favorite (Dont deny that you love him) Thor God of Thunder, son of Odin all-father to the Asgardians, wields Mjolnir the mighty hammer that only one who is truly worthy can pick up. Thor grew into Asgards greatest warrior wielding the power of lightning and thunder. With his Asgardian physiology and longevity he is immensely powerful. Like with every Asgardian with time he grew stronger and stronger. His superhuman strength, speed, agility, and durability, along with many other talents that come from his hammer make him a mighty hero and Avenger.

#3 Black Bolt

Blackagar Boltagon
Blackagar Boltagon

Black Bolt, King of The Inhumans and member of the Illuminati (caused world war hulk), born in Attilan in the Royal family Black Bolt was viewed as strong even for Inhuman standards. Able to produce destructive quasi-sonic energy from his mouth. As an infant he was given a power harnessing suit and placed in a sound proof chamber to protect his people from harm. A month after granted his freedom from his chamber, he shot a kree vessel out of the sky with his voice adebvertingly killing his own parents and driving his brother mad whilst suppressing his mental powers. Now he never speaks unless absolutely necessary. Other than his voice he can channel and manipulate particles and electrons plus his Inhuman genetics give him super strength, speed, agility, durability and reflexes.

#2 Captain Marvel (Ms. Marvel) aka Carol Danvers

Carol Danvers
Carol Danvers

Carol Danvers joined the US Air Force at the age of eighteen. She quickly climbed ranks and was recruited by military intelligence to train as a spy. Soon becoming the youngest security captain in NASA's history, she became apart of an operation with the Kree Empire, eventually be-friending Mar-Vell a Kree soldier. During a fight she was knocked into a device that altered reality and she was changed to a half-Kree superhuman. She was unaware of this for months. After she realized what she was again she quickly made a name for herself and became an Avenger, and New Avenger. During her time as Ms. Marvel (her first moniker) she was captured by Brood, and experimented on becoming even more powerful showing signs of cosmic energy and powers. She felt unattached to Earth so she left into space and joined the Star-Jammers, a band of adventurers. As she returned to earth years later, she exhausted her cosmic powers saving the sun. Then joined the New Avengers as Warbird for a time. Now she is the new Captain Marvel, and her powers rival that of Thor and the Hulk. Along with her Superhuman strength, agility, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes, Carol can fly, absorb energy, shoot Photonic blasts from her hands, immune to toxins and poisons and has some flash precognition.

#1 The Incredible Hulk

Hulk vs (World War Hulk)
Hulk vs (World War Hulk)

Bruce Banner was exposed to a lethal amount of gamma radiation while doing an experiment, that should have killed him. But he came out a giant green monster with anger issues. Of course there are celestial and cosmic beings that could just wipe him from existence but this monster can hold his own. Hulk gets angry, the world panics (see picture above). The angrier he gets the stronger he gets, and that's the truth that every one seems to forget. When he seems beaten, or like he's giving up he's only getting angrier and stronger (people in the comics have said that he has potential for limitless strength). His rage has no weakness. Other than his rage and strength he has vast invulnerability and has regrown a missing limb, able to leap small bounds (known to be able to jump into the earths atmosphere and 100,000 miles going over 400 mph), has no human conscious so he has nothing holding him back (of course when Bruce learns better control there is a little of a conscious), extremely large lung capacity for space and underwater, and decelerated aging.

Poll

Do you like my list? Do you hate it? What could change?

There ain't many around who can describe what it feels like to get hit by the Hulk. Simple fact bein' there ain't many around who can survive to tell the tale. There ain't no pain at first. It's like he hits ya so damn hard ya actually leave yer own body. It's when ya come back that ya feel the pain. An' ya realize yer goin' toe-to-toe with a walkin' earthquake. -Wolverine
