A movie that is sure to cause some discussion next year is Duncan Jones' WARCRAFT, the film adaptation to one of the most popular games ever created; The World Of Warcraft.

Universal and Legendary Pictures have released the first images from the fantasy film which features Pacific Rim actor Robert Kazinsky as Orgim the Orc.

The design of the character looks very detailed and visually just very authentic, I imagine Motion Capture is going to be used heavily in this film and from the looks of it, they nailed it!

The director of Moon and Source Code, Duncan Jones, is helming the film and had this to say about the images:

“We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character,”.
“We’ve gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies. “We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely.”

Warcraft is easily one of my most anticipated films of 2016, it feels like it's been forever since it was first announced and I absolutely cannot wait to finally see it on the big screen come June 10th 2016. My reasons being that I think the source material really serves a feature film adaptation, the lore of the game created by Blizzard Entertainment is so rich. The other reason being that I love Duncan Jones, Moon is such an underrated science fiction film, and I implore you to watch it if you haven't and his last film Source Code was also very enjoyable, it was a step down from Moon but that's a tough film to beat.

On the side of the Alliance in the film is Dominic Cooper (Iron Man 2) as King Llane Wrynn, Travis Fimmel (Vikings) as Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster (Lone Survivor) as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer (The Riot Club) as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga (World War Z) as Lady Taria, and on the side of The Horde is also Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) as Blackhand, Toby Kebbel (Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes) as Durotan, and Daniel Wu (Europa Report) as Gul’Dan, with Paula Patton’s (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) Garona caught in the middle.

WARCRAFT opens on June 10th 2016.
