To avoid fainting, keep repeating 'It's only a movie...It's only a movie...'

We've all done it as kids - persuaded, begged or downright conned a grown-up into letting us watch something way beyond our age rating... but a bunch of students in West Virginia tricked their teacher into showing Fifty Shades of Grey in class.

Here's a reminder of how NSFS (Not Suitable For School) the movie is...

However, before we all start wailing "will somebody PLEASE think of the children," the school principal confirmed that another teacher happened to walk into the classroom and put a stop to the Fifty Shades viewing before the Kinky F***ery really got going.

Speaking to the Charleston Daily Mail, principal Jeff Woofter:

"Fortunately, an assistant principal walked by and saw what they were doing. They got there 10 minutes after it started and shut it down.

I will say it was an extreme lack of judgment from an otherwise very capable teacher. The teacher didn’t do a background check on the movie or even ask about it."

What would you find funnier as a kid - the fact that your teacher had no idea what Fifty Shades was - or the fact that a more senior teacher clearly DID?

Seeing as no actual sex happens for the first forty minutes of Fifty Shades of Grey, there was a pretty long window of opportunity for the viewing to get sabotaged... and at least nothing of this nature occurred!

This kind of reminds me of the time we saw American History X at school - totally legit and confirmed for parental consent as part of a history course - and we were allowed to watch the vicious curbing scene but our teacher fast-forwarded over the sex scene? What this says about social attitudes on sex I'm not sure...
