(Note - potential SPOILERS for Captain America: Civil War are to be found below - proceed with all the usual caution...or joyfully reckless abandon. Your call...)
There's been a steady stream of images coming from the set of Captain America: Civil War of late, with our first looks at Bucky, Black Widow, Cap and Falcon - with the images telling us a whole lot about what to expect from the movie's central funeral scene - but not a whole lot more.
Recently, though, we got our first glimpse of Cap's increasingly formidable foe, Crossbones - better known to fans of Captain America: The Winter Soldier as 'that guy Brock Rumlow who Cap beat the snot out of':
That sneaky hint of Crossbones, though, wasn't enough.
Sure, it teased a bad-ass new costume for the villain - but we needed more...
Our First Look at What's Beneath the Mask
And, oh look, the good folks over at Just Jared just so happened to oblige.
And by oblige, I obviously actually mean 'released a giant pile of Frank Grillo-starring awesomeness, which very much teases exactly what Rumlow'll look like beneath the mask:
Which, intriguingly, seems to be seriously, seriously scarred - albeit, in these shots, only on the part of his face that shows through the mask. Expect at least one full reveal in the final movie, though...
Which...makes a whole lot of sense, when you think about it. After all, when we last saw ol' Brock, he had just had several tons of rubble dropped on him:
Which should make for an interesting comparison with his comic-book counterpart, whose drive to kill Cap tends to take a more Red Skull-oriented line than the personal vengeance the cinematic Crossbones looks likely to be seeking.
My one big question, still, though?
Will we get to see him wielding a ridiculously large gun?
And, if not, is there still time to change that decision?
What do you think, though?
