Kill Me Three Times is an Australian Crime Dramady, starring the always enjoyable Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek,) Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Alice Braga (Elysium)
Pegg plays Charlie Wolfe, a hit man who is called into a triangle of deception, murder and blackmail. Alice, a battered woman who is cheating on her husband decides to run off with her lover, played by Luke Hemsworth (Chris Hemsworth's older brother) However, her suspecting husband hires Wolfe to kill her before she can make her escape.
Meanwhile, Lucy Webb (Palmer) and her husband are in debt to a bookie, and also decide to kill Alice. The plan is to make it look like her body is actually Lucy's so her husband can collect on the insurance payout. All while Wolfe is tailing her.
All this makes for a good premise, but the execution is weak. The comedy falls short, failing to make up for the lack luster acting and poor character development. You never really care who lives or dies.
I say "Skip it" unless you are just in it for Pegg, who does manage to deliver a worthy performance.
