On July 22, 1991, two police officers walked into the flat of Jeffrey Dahmer, only to discover one of the most horrific crime scenes in history. WARNING: Some of the images in this article are very disturbing.
Dahmer had used his flat, Apartment 213, 924 North 25th Street, Milwaukee to commit crimes so disturbing he will go down in history as one of the world's most disgusting, depraved serial killers that has ever lived.
Body parts, skeletons, shrines and photographs were found that proved Jeffrey's despicable crimes. 16 men were tortured, murdered, dissected and stored in his tiny apartment.
He even had sex with the corpses of some his victims, twisting their bodies into peculiar positions for his own sexual gratification. Oh, and he also stored the body parts so he could eat them, nice.
Here are some of the pictures taken in Jeffrey's apartment after he was caught. Be warned, this article contains graphic content and is NSFW.
Nothing out of the ordinary, apart from the fact 16 young men were killed in there.
This picture shows Jeffrey's beloved fish tank, and there is some rather suggestive artwork on the walls.
Looks innocent enough, but the jars actually contained human remains.
More jars containing body parts, and no sight of any fruit or vegetables.
If you look closely you can see human body parts, as well as other skeletal remains.
Can you imagine being the police officer that found this?
A human hand he had kept to cook and eat, before he was arrested.
This blue tub and freezer were used to store various body parts. In the freezer investigators discovered an entire torso, plus a bag of human organs and flesh stuck to the ice at the bottom. In the 57-gallon drum, there were three further dismembered torsos dissolving in the acid solution.
Jeffrey took pictures of his victims in various stages of dismemberment for his own pleasure. He claimed it was so he could relive the crimes to give himself sexual pleasure. These photos also gave the police much more hard evidence of his disgusting crimes. In total 74 polaroids were found.
Four severed heads were found in Dahmer's kitchen. A total of seven skulls some painted, some bleached, were found in Dahmer's bedroom and inside a closet.
In this chilling home movie shot by his father, Jeffrey eerily says that he should "eat at home more." Little did his father know, that's exactly what he was doing.
