I can safely say, that after watching today's season finale, I honestly have no words as to how spectacular it was. It's left us all with questions we NEED answers too, such as:
Will Barry be able to stop the Paradox?
Since Eddie killed himself, will Rick Cosnett himself return as another character? (Possibly Cobalt blue?)
How will they introduce Killer Frost and Vibe PROPERLY?
When will Cisco find out he WAS affected by the accelerator, and in-fact, IS VIBE?
Despite this, there was a major hint of, what seems to be JAY GARRICK possibly appearing on the show. I just cannot WAIT to see what Season 2 has in-store for us, and if that includes Jay Garrick making an appearance, then HELL YES!
Wait..Who IS Jay Garrick?
Jay Garrick is the first, and the ORIGINAL superhero, The Flash. Garrick is one of the Golden Age heroes, who first appeared in World War ll, as the member of the Justice Society of America, and the All-Star Squadron. In the comics, he inhaled a toxic vapor, which gave him incredible abilities, such as enhanced reflexes, and to be able to run at light speed. He was the one who inspired Barry Allen, to become the Second Speedster At one point, Allen was able to rescue Garrick, which brought him out of his retirement. Currently, he is resided on Earth-2, being their Flash. Garrick has also, in-fact served as a mentor to the other speedsters, as well as many other heroes over several generations. Barry then brought him to the 21st century. It was him and Barry Allen who had to overcome and take down The Thinker, and Rag-doll.
Now, Lets take a look at HIS HELMET! THE BIGGEST CLUE.
This is probably, THE biggest hint in the entire episode, which portrays that Jay Garrick, A.K.A the Original Flash, could make an appearance of the show. Garrick is widely known for his winged-helmet anyhow, Plus, Eobard mentions that his helmet is:
THAT'S my cue to leave.
Whatever Thawne meant by that, the both of them definitely have some sort of connection, which could possibly be looked further into.
Besides, Kriesberg has also confirmed that other speedsters WILL be coming, meaning, It's possible Jay Garrick is one of them:
"We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains. How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two. We're really excited. Greg and myself and Geoff Johns and the writers, the cast, the crew, the directors — we are so proud of this season of television. It really is a high mark for all of us and we feel a great deal of pressure and anxiety to live up to it, because it's been so well received."
