Mad Max: Fury Road seems like it may be the movie of the summer - everyone is raving about the insane-high-octane thrill ride in the desert...and that can only mean one thing.

The internet is going to be all over it.

The memes are already coming in hard and fast, the quotables, take offs and YouTube videos are in full swing, and it's time to turn Mad Max: Fury Road into the viral sensation of the year.

All of which makes me incredibly happy. On a very shallow level, I just enjoy giggling, and there are some incredibly talented creators out there who can take a film or a concept and turn it into something I want to watch again and again. I'm also happy to see a reboot-type-film find success, as it's a nice rebuttal to those who like to complain about the huge number of upcoming remakes and classics revisited.

It's more than that, however. Mad Max: Fury Road has been widely praised for it's strong and complex female characters, something that I cannot support enough. Imperator Furiosa and her clan are phenomenal, and I want to see more of them. I want to see Furiosa cosplayers, I want to see Furiosa toys and collectibles (and a PopVinyl, but that's just because I want one!).

I'm sure that these things will come, but in the meantime, YouTuber Albert Lopez has created this amazing mash up video, combining Furiosa and her companions with another post-apocalyptic lady who just won't let anything break her... Kimmy Schmidt!

Fans will know this much more cutesy character from the Netflix Original series: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It's an adorable and uplifting sitcom-style show about three women rescued from an apocalypse cult, one of whom (Kimmy, obviously) heads to NYC to learn how to live in the modern world. Written by Tina Fey, it's funny and definitely has a bit of a feminist bent, and the theme song pairs PERFECTLY with these Mad Max clips.
