I have been guilty of words spewing from my mouth in a wrong way. I have said some quotes that if misinterpreted, could make me seen anything other than PC. Thankfully, I am not a celebrity where every word and action of mine can be documented for the world to see.

While a few of the following might have been accidentally offensive, a few of these are definitely inexcusable.

1. Mel Gibson

"You’re an embarrassment to me, you look like a pig in heat, and if you get raped–"

Beside his ignorant, anti-semitic statements and violent behavior, Gibson has also called his ex-girlfriend a pig and has basically told her that it would be her fault if she gets raped.

2. Sean Connery

“It’s not the worst thing to slap a woman now and then."

During an interview with Barbara Walters, Sean Connery made this exact statement. I'd prefer it if we all didn't slap each other, regardless of gender.

3. Gilbert Gottfried

"Japan is really advanced. They don’t go to the beach. The beach comes to them."

Just a mere few days after the earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan, Gottfried tweeted these words. This comedian with his obnoxious voice was then fired from voicing the Afflac duck, as Japan is one of their top customers.

4. Kanye West

"An abortion can cost a ballin’ [person] up to 50gs maybe a 100 – Gold diggin’ [women] getting pregnant on purpose."

Is is any surprise that Kanye West would be on this list? Although cleaned up of racial slurs and derogatory terms, Kanye angered many women's rights groups with his quote as he joked about a very serious and painful situation for women.

5. Patricia Arquette

“It is time for us … We don’t have equal rights for Americans. The truth is even though we sort of feel like there is, there are huge issues that are at play and really do affect women.

It’s time for all the women in America, and the men who love women and all the gay people and people of color we’ve all fought for to fight for us now.”

While many feel that she short-shrifted African-Americans and other minorities struggles, Patricia did apologize by stating "Guess which women are the most negatively [a]ffected in wage inequality? Women of color. for ALL women. Women stand together in this." Go Patricia!

6. Woody Allen

"The heart wants what it wants."

Woody Allen proclaimed this statement when asked about his questionable relationship with his almost daughter Soon-Yi. Many still feel irked and disgusted by their odd relationship.

7. Gwyneth Paltrow

"I think it's different when you have an office job, because it's routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening. When you're shooting a movie, they're like, 'We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,' and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult. I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it's not like being on set."

Working mothers unfortunately don't have the luxury or money to hire any help. Chores and raising children are still left over after they've gotten off from their "easy" office job. I also know of many mothers who work more than one job.

While some celebrities have apologized for some of their more ignorant statements, there are many who continue to dig themselves in a hole, with offensive saying after offensive saying.

Let's be respectful and remember the golden rule. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all.
