All Aboard The Nostalgia Express

Being in my mid-twenties, it's hard for me to really comprehend how much time has gone by since some of my favorite movies were released. Seeing teenagers who were born in the 2000s continues to blow my mind and makes me feel the gravity of time. To me, it feels like only recently Friends had its series finale and came off the air. The Matrix? That only came out a few years ago, right?

Nope. The Matrix came out in 1999 and is already 16 years old!

I recently took a look back to see all the movies that were released in 1995 and, to my surprise, there were A LOT more big titles than I expected. A lot of these films I saw in '95, and a lot I saw once I was old enough for my parents not to care about the 'R' rating. It's interesting to note that some of the Rotten Tomatoes scores on many of these movies are way lower than you would expect them to be. Crazy!

I understand that not all of the movies on this list would be amazing if you were to look at them now, but through the eyes of a kid, they were magic!

Let's dive in!

Crazy year right? Even crazier critic reviews. It was such a shock to see how low some of those scores were (Pocahontas)! Personally, Toy Story was definitely my favorite movie from 1995, but the runner up would be Tommy Boy. It's still a fun movie to watch and my favorite Chris Farley movie!
