One of the things about me is, I absolutely LOVE books! Of equal amount to movies (if not more in some cases), and like most avid readers, I am absolutely desperate to see some of my favorite masterpieces put on the silver screen! So here's a little list of my own devising to share with you lovely folk which ones are a must (in no particular order)!!!
1. The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice
Now these are my personal favorite books of all time, the chronicles include: The Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of The Damned. Both Interview with a Vamp and The Queen of the Damned have already been made into movies but they are absolute RUBBISH compared to the novels, Interview with a Vamp is an amazing movie but unfortunately is a bit outdated for most people now and doesn't really follow the storyline which is an absolute shame. The Queen of the Damned is an absolute god awful, blasphemic to the novels movie and needs to be completely re done. All three of them could be made AMAZING literally they would be the best vampire movies ever created if done properly!
2. The Sight and Fell by David Clement-Davies
This is technically a young adult novel but the storyline is absolutely beautiful, the imagery of the wolves would be incredible!!! They could do so much with these novels!!! Why have they not done this yet!!!
3. My Sister Jodie by Jacqueline Wilson
Okay so this isn't an obvious one as it's technically a kids book, BUT, some of JW's novels are so emotionally moving, they have such serious meanings behind them and in fairness I would be happy to see anyone of them be made into big blockbuster emotional dramas!
4. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Goodness gracious give me strength, this novel has literally changed my complete outlook about the middle-eastern countries and there people. It's a fantastic novel, the way it captures the women's lives in the middle-east is a lesson for all of us. It needs to be seen!
5. Temeraire by Naomi Novak
This beauty is the first novel in one of my favorite series of all time. With the amount of brilliant descriptions of far off lands and ofcourse the dragons themselves, this could be both a visual and soulful masterpiece!
6. 26a by Diana Evans
This is such an emotional novel from start to end, surrounding the twins and there family. I just know people could learn from the mental health aspect if this was a movie.
Their are so many more I want to add to this list but I can't think of them on the top of my head so will be adding more later on when I get to have a good look at my bookshelf. Please like/share/comment/follow for more!!
