Now You See Me 3 Already in Development!

Despite the fact that Now You See Me 2 is over a year away from hitting the big screen, Lionsgate is said to be in the early stages of development on Now You See Me 3.

The sequel to the 2013 hit reunites Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine with newest additions: Lizzy Caplan, and Daniel Radcliffe.

Isla Fisher played Henley Reeves in the first movie but will not return to the sequel due to her pregnancy, but we may now see her return for the third film.

The announcement of the third film is part of the new strategy by Lionsgate to focus on franchises as some of it biggest, The Hunger Games and The Divergent Seires, will be coming to an end soon. John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves, also has a sequel in the works.

According to Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer, Now You See Me 2 has officially finished production and also said he expects the sequel to surpass the $350 million box office of the first movie.

Ed Solomon (Charlie's Angels and Now You See Me) and Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal) wrote the script which will be directed by Jon M. Chu (The LXD and G.I. Joe: Retaliation).

Now You See Me 2 will be released in cinemas on June 10, 2016.
