Some people hate it, some people love it, and some others find it extremely "easy" . Sole reapers that fight to save people's souls and help them move on to a 'similar' heaven called "Soul Society" and protect the from the 'bestie like creatures' called Hollows. Too unrealistic, and with a character that doesn't ever die, even though coming really close to it after almost every big fight of the show.
If you ask me, this is partly what I really love about this anime. The way you see the struggle and the way the charactes are ready to give up their life for each other. But not in the casual overused way, not gently, not trying to hide it like it's something that you should figure out on your own (as an fan).. They show it the best way possible, the main character, "ichigo" , fights with his friends and family as his main driving force to servive. They fight by his side all the way, they all become stronger for each other, and when Ichigo needs them they are always there to make him "Be" able to do anything.
The show brings to the surface not only how important friends and family are for everyone of us , but also how we could be paralized and overwhelmed by our own fears.. our inner demons , how far we need to go so that we finally manage to defeat our own selves. The way you need to search inside of yourself so that you find out how powerfull you are, and how you can use that power to protect the people you love. Finally, you see how everything is possible , and how even if something that opposes you is stronger than you are, that really doesn't mean you should ever give up.
I'll end this review with a quote from the show:

The difference in strength...what about it? Do you think I should give up just because you're stronger than me? I've always known you were strong. Nothing I see now will change my mind. I will defeat you, Ulquiorra!
