The Marvel Cinematic Unvierse is on a high right now with an epic line up still on its way to add to the already astounding track record of The Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although all the character film rights of the Marvel Comics are not owned by the same company ill leave this out as these are dream stories to which I hope will some day make an appearence on the big screen.
Marvel's Original Sin:
When the sudden death of The Watcher , A being who watches over all of the universe and knows everyones secrets inculding the secrets of the Avengers is found dead and as his murderer remains a mystery it begins the search of who murdered him by the Avengers. Not only has The Watcher been murdered but his eyes which hold all the secrets he has documented have been stolen too. Nick Fury makes it clear to the other heroes checking that the murderer may very well be one of their fellow heroes in their company and so the search for the murderer becomes much more intense.
A film adaption of this Comic Book storyline could make to be an action packed thriller which consists of twists and intriguing story. As well as the main taking place , a sub story of The Punisher and Doctor Strange takes place as the duo hear infomation that The Black Panther is secretly supplying from a source which he will not tell to his fellow heroes.
Another key character who goes off on a mission of his own to infiltrate the killer is Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) who really shows throughout this story why he is the elite of the heroes. He confronts many suspects of the murder and becomes a powerful character by the end.
I'm keeping this spoiler free so without giving too much away I will explain one of the potential suspects of the murder ...... The Orb, who manages to steal one of The Watcher's eyes and uses it to his advantage to gain both power and wisdom over the Avengers and heroes. The Orb serves as a promising antagonist before a twist in the story when it is revealed it is someone else who has murdered The Watcher and not The Orb, he does manage to change the intensity of the story as he unleashes the eye's power and all the heroes learn the secrets which they have kept from each other.
The story could make a perfect film with suspense throughout and viewers having to constantly guess who the murderer could be and their reason for carrying out the murder, which affects all in the universe.
Thor Comic Series (2014) :
Yes, I know what you think , have we not seen Thor already and his stories , but this is far differant from any other Thor story before as it continues on from Original Sin and follows Thor's ending of that story in which he becomes unworth of his hammer and can no longer wield it. This makes the chance for others to be worthy of the hammer, eventually a new Thor arrives and unlike like the previous Thor this one is female.
I know fo1r some this could be a drastic change , I mean everyone has known to love Thor as a male character and now changing him could be a major shock to the system but this doe's not mean the original Thor is totally out of the picture as he remains dominant throughout this story. Thor may no longer be his title but he is still a total badass throughout the story and is now known by the title Odinson. Angered and outraged by the fact he is deemed unworthy to wield his hammer he goes on a hunt to find who it is that is now wielding his hammer and is worthy to do so. A film adaption could show a brand new take on Thor and how he is no longer the all mighty God of thunder and is not worthy to wield his fearsome hammer. It will also introduce us to a new Thor , one who is female but is just as mighty. Odinson trying to discover who the new Thor is will make out to be a great stroy for a film and create huge mystery and suspense for viewers.
Batman: Court Of The Owls:
This for me , is one of the coolest Batman stories there is ,introducing us to a whole new level of awesome in terms of how Batman defeats evil in Gotham. The story introduces antagonists which are like no other that have been seen in a Batman film to date which are The Court of the Owls. I understand there's amazing Batman stories of all which could have a shot at making it on the big screen but I feel this one would adapt best to film and bring the perfect blend of gritty story and heart racing action sequences.
The story follows Batman as Gotham seems to be falling in terms of being crime prevention and corruption. Batman realizes a new force of evil has fallen over his city but instead of him just hunting this evil down it's a lot more complicated as the evil wants Bruce Wayne dead as well as the other powerful people in the city. This leaves Batman on a chase to find the evil before they find his alter ego Bruce Wayne. This stroy revolves around Batman as much as his alter ego Bruce Wayne and will show how Batman tries to keeps his actions as Batman seperate while not in the costume , we will see him as Bruce Wayne be the powerful and successful person he is aswell as battling the foes which face him. After word that assassins want Bruce Wayne dead it leaves Batman trying to uncover who it is who ordered the assassins to kill him and their motive behind it.
Supporting Batman throughout the story is a character yet to be properly depicted on the big screen , a man who is both cunning and well able for combat , this is none other than Dick Grayson (Night Wing). Grayson helps Batman hunt for the root of the new evil and acts as a strong supporting character in the storyline.
The story is full of great story telling and plot twists which keep you guessing throughout and keeps the stakes high as we root for Batman even after he is beaten and broken. This story also sets up an even bigger story of The Night of the Owls in which the assassins begin to run loose in Gotham City trying to kill all the main figures in the city, despite this being also a cool story I feel this one has too much compelling moments where you may feel Batman may not be able to rise above all evil and save the day. I think it could make a great film and set a differant tone to a Batman film which I feel deserves a chance on the big screen.
The only story on this list which is neither D.C. nor Marvel , it's a comic series by Image Comics. The story is like none other in this list and is exceptionally creative and adventorous. The story does not tell of superheroes but rather the story of how a young boy named Michael Rhodes begins an unexpected adventure which changes him forever.
Upon playing catch with his father , the ball manages to land in the forest close by and so Michael went to retrieve it..... never to return. Over a year went by and the disappearence of Michael affected his family deeply and people began to blame the father for murdering his son , sending the father in to a deep depression and causing him to want to find the actual reason behind his son's disappearence. When detectives begin their investigation it begins to lead nowhere and so all hope seems lost for Michael's whereabouts , that is until over a year after his disappearence a mysterious man wearing armor and with a beard is found who claims to be Michael.
Michael is brought to the police station and questioned , his family are later brought in and they seem dubious that this could be their long lost brother returned. Through a series of conversation with his family , Michael explains everything to them , like how when he went to get his ball in that forest he was transported to another place in which fictional creatures exist and must fight evil which burdens them. Michael to the natives of this mysterious place is seen as the one who can save their existence and battle the evil, he ages differantly while here , hence why he now looks much older and he becomes a brave warrior. His family eventually realize that this is their Michael and want to help him any way they can. His mother unfortunately is reluctant to do so as she is still unsure about what has happened but regardless they help Micahel and he tells them that he must return to the place he has came from, thus beginning his epic chronicle.
A film adation of this could be both adventerous and highly dramatic. The relationship between his family will create some drama which could set a chilling mood for a film and Michael's adventures could create some great action and set pieces. This may be more supernatural and magic based than super hero based , but is equally as gripping and compelling.
Marvel's Everything Dies:
One of my personal favourite Marvel stories which combines tough decision making and danger , would be spectacular as a film. The stroy shows aspects of our beloved heroes we have never seen before and show how our favourite heroes can quickly become the greatest bad guys by make some of the toughest decessions known in the Marvel universe. The story concentrates heavily on the Illuminati in the Marvel universe , consisting on heroes such as Mr. Fantastic , Iron Man, Black Bolt , Doctor Strange , Captain America and Namor The Submariner.
A film of this story could be amazing as we see our favourite heroes try so hard to do good by any means , even if by doing this good, it involves them having to do some bad things along the way and make some crucial decessions in the survival of earth.
The story begins with Black Panther in his kingdom of Wakanda. Black Panther will see a planet incoming which looks to be another Earth hovering a distance above him. From this alternate Earth , a group of beings are arriving down to him, of which leading them is a mysterious woman who is speaking a language which has not being spoken on Earth for centuries, Black Panther realises this and notices the woman handing a device to the men who arrived with her.
Black Panther confronts the woman and gathers information off her as to what is occuring before him. The woman goes by the name Black Swan and she uses the device she gave to her men to blow up the alternate Earth which was heading towards Black Panthers planet , but things remain unclear to Black Panther and before he can say or doing anymore , Black Swan gets her men to attack Black Panther and his men, kicking off a battle. The battle ends with only Black Panther surviving from his men and Black Swan suviving from hers , Black Panther brings her into custody and hands her over to the Illuminati to question her. To their surprise Black Swan intentionally blew up her own planet to save theres. They discover that Earth is on the brink of exstinction with Earths from alternative dimension colliding and destroying each other.
The story is engaging and at times complex , but a good complex which keeps you guessing for whats coming next and who will have to make a drastic decision to prevent the worlds end. Each hero will grow throughout the story but not necessarily for the better. They will be faced with tough choices to make for the fate of their universe which will emotionally scar them and make them have a constant sense of guilt hanging on their chest.
None of the heroes remain the same person at the end of the story as they were at the beginning , as they have been pushed to breaking point and have to save humanity from a gruesome end. The Illuminati will begin to argue with each other and make decessions they dont all agree on and have their morales kick in for each drastic decession they are faced with to make. It could make a great film , one which would be like none other ever seen before by Marvel and will introduce audiences to a new view of their favourite superheroes as they fight for Earth's survival.
