If you remember from the season finale of The Flash (or if you saw my Easter Egg recap), then you remember that as soon as the Reverse Flash was on his way back time, a little surprise came out of the portal that looked very familiar. At least to all of us comic book enthusiasts. And that little surprise was Jay Garrick's helmet.
Now, who's Jay Garrick, you ask? Why he's the very first Flash, if you must know. Before there was Barry Allen, there was Jay Garrick. Jay was an excelling double-major student in chemistry and physics. Quite a genius, if you ask me. And, oddly enough, Barry (or Bartholomew) was his young ward. Meaning that Barry was the original Kid Flash before Bart and Wally ever came into the picture. Imagine that....
As we get into time travel with [DC's Legends of Tomorrow](tag:2937021), I guess it's time to ask some very important questions. For one thing, did that little Easter Egg hint the possibility of seeing the Justice League of Earth 2?
And if we do see him, will he teach Barry a few things about his powers that he never knew about? I mean, Barry already knows how to phase through walls and other solid objects, and he can already run at speeds past Mach 2. Plus, he already knows what the Speed Force is. So what else is there for Barry to learn from a pro like Jay Garrick?
We won't know until DC's Legends of Tomorrow hits the CW in 2016. See ya then!
