Arizona Sunshine drops players directly into the midst of a zombie apocalypse using HTC's upcoming VR headset!
Arizona Sunshine, developed by Vertigo Games will be one of the first games released onto HTC's Vive virtual reality headset.
Arizona Sunshine is taking VR to the next level. Arizona Sunshine is a first person shooter that utilizes all aspects of virtual reality. The aim will be for players to be completely immersed into the terrifying environment. Players will use their hands to aim, reload and shoot their weapons in an attempt to survive the infection.
"Step into the midst of a zombie apocalypse as if you were really there, and defend yourself against enemies close enough to touch. A custom-built physical animation system makes striking your undead enemies more thrilling and satisfying than ever before." - Vertigo Games
This particular horror is specifically a 'Room-Scale' VR Zombie Shooter. This basically means that you can play it at home in your own living room. It will use a 15 ft. by 15 ft tracking space for you to operate within.
Within this space you can “anticipate attacks, manage your ammo and consumables, and aim down the sights to blast your enemies to undead pieces." This project will put you as close to the undead hordes as you will ever want to be.
Arizona Sunshine promises to thrill and scare the living daylights out of all that immerse themselves within the harsh environments that the infected lurk, hunt and feed. The only thing missing from Arizona Sunshine will be the smell of rotting flesh as you slay your way through the undead.
