The Flash is shown to time travel in Barry Allen's portrayal of The Flash. But could The Flash actually do it? Could he time travel? Well yes an no. This all has to do with Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity which simply states blah blah blah the faster you go the slower time moves for you. It also states that no matter can travel faster than the speed of light (299,792,458 meters per second). However it does not say that a speed faster than the speed of light does not exist, you just can't reach it. Now at the speed of light time basically stops moving (remember the faster you go the slower time moves). But based on Einstein's calculations if you went faster than the speed of light time would start to move backwards. This technically would allow The Flash to time travel.

There is just two problems. Speeding in at 74 m/s The Flash is 299,792,385 m/s too slow to time travel. However even if he could run faster (which he might be able to, not so sure about my source) it is still IMPOSSIBLE to go faster than the speed of light! And it would take an INFINITE amount of energy to accelerate an object to the speed of light let alone faster! So after reviewing these facts I believe we can safely say that The Flash could NOT time travel...
