If you find yourself hanging around Los Angeles on June 1st, be sure to stop by the Dances with Films Festival if you're in the mood for a horror flick.

The Man in the Shadows will be premiering, and you won't want to miss out on this story directed by Josh Fraiman which centers around what really occurs when we are experiencing sleep paralysis.

The Terrifying Trailer

This flick stars Sarah Jurgens, Nick Baillie, and Adam Tomlinson. Rachel continually has night terrors involving a mysterious man in a brimmed hat that does not disappear as she attempts to wake up.

During group therapy, Rachel opens up about her experiences with Hat Man. While many view her as insane, a friend named William believes her.

The Haunting Hat Man

Who Lurks Behind Her?

I have experienced sleep paralysis and it is such a strange feeling. To feel so awake yet stuck in a dream state at the same time is insanely odd. Luckily, I've never seen a malicious Hat Man with the intent to haunt and hurt me.
