The Tracking Board reports that 20th Century Fox is planning a reboot for the semi successful film franchise. No word yet if any of the original cast will be returning. The 2003 film starred Sean Connery, Naseeruddin Shah, Peta Wilson, Tony Curran, Stuart Townsend, Shane West, Jason Flemyng, and Richard Roxburgh. Could this be the time for a new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?

The franchise, based of Alan Moore's comic of the same name, stars some of our pasts greatest literary heroes. Captain Nemo, Allan Quatermain, Dr. Jekyll and Hawley Griffin, the Invisible Man star as the main heroes. Even James Bond's "spiritual" grandfather also is part of league, named Campion Bond. Hopefully, this movie can capture the essence of the original comic and even borrow a little from the movie. The first movie wasn't bad, it just lacked in parts. This could redeem it as a franchise.
