For the Moviepilot Suicide Squad Contest, where I was challenged with selecting four villains to populate my own Suicide Squad, I'll admit I hit a point where I was stumped for ideas. Seeing so many Creators go to their favourite movies and comic books to recruit an assortment of villains, I felt like I couldn't select anything original...until it hit me: Why not go to my favourite source of adventure, where villains are aplenty in their infinite evilness? Why not recruit my villains from...video games?

Ladies and gentlemen, without further a-do I present to you my pixel crushing, hero stomping Suicide Squad!

1. Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre Sequel

Welcome to Pandora, kiddo!
Welcome to Pandora, kiddo!

What's better than a charming megalomaniac and a ruthless dictator, backed up by a massive, self-replicating robot army? Nothing. That's why Handsome Jack is the first go-to man for my Suicide Squad. Jack brings the looks and the firepower to the team, along with the ability to bend alien forces and entire planet populations to his will. Not to mention that he has a horse made entirely out of diamonds. Tell all those bandits, vault hunters and other "heroes" to run...oh, Butt Stallion says 'hi'.

2. Vaas Montenegro - Far Cry 3

Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?

Warlord of a band of pirates? Check. Controls the Rook Islands by striking fear into the native population, trafficking drugs and selling people into slavery? Check. Clinically insane psychopath with numerous guns? Check mate. Vaas is everything you want in a villain, and then some - making him a perfect candidate for my Suicide Squad. Not only does he have the weapons and the forces to make people shake in fear, but he has the insanity to make his every move unpredictable. That may make him dangerous, but it's better than expecting things to change when doing the same thing over and over again, hermano.

3. Corypheus - Dragon Age: Inquisition

I will claim the Black Throne!
I will claim the Black Throne!

Most of the time, facing an intelligent Darkspawn was scary enough, but facing an intelligent Darkspawn that can control the minds of mages and Grey Wardens, command the legions of Venatori again it's enemies, and have a pet dragon...you better start praying for the Maker to save you. Corypheus brings an incredible amount of power to my Suicide Squad, from an incredibly large army and dragon, to immensely powerful magic. Say hello to your new god, and pray that you don't get on his bad side.

4. Zachary Comstock - BioShock Infinite

The Lord forgives everything, but I'm just a prophet…so I don't have to
The Lord forgives everything, but I'm just a prophet…so I don't have to

Zachary Hale Comstock, prophet and leader of the floating city of Colombia, and notorious villain...depending on where you stand. Comstock brings with him the destructive firepower that is Colombia, an army of devoted followers prepared to fight and die at his command, and access to supernatural powers along with his Songbird. He shall sit the throne of my Suicide Squad, and drown in flames the mountains of man.
