"Beam me up Princess Diana!" (I couldn't help myself) could be the next lines of actor Chris Pine. Chris has previously requested Scottie to beam him up as Captain Kirk in Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. If reports from Variety turn out to be true, Chris Pine could also be starring as Steve Trevor in the stand alone Wonder Woman movie. Steve Trevor in DC comics is an Intelligence Officer in the United States Army and the love interest of Wonder Woman who will be played by Fast and Furious star Gal Gadot. For those that didn't know, Steve is to Wonder Woman what Lois is to Superman, and Steve and Diana loved each other very very much.

Wonder Woman & Steve share love taps

Now, I didn't say it was love at first sight but trust me, Steve Trevor eventually becomes the apple of Wonder Woman's eye. Of course, Steve became more of a gentlemen to Wonder Woman before she fell for him. But honestly, I picked that video to show how Chris Pine's portrayal of Captain Kirk in Star Trek is very similar to Steve Trevor. Check out Chris in action as Captain Kirk in Star Trek.

Captain Kirk turned down and beat up

At least Chris did not get beat up by a girl but when the girl beating you up is the DC version of Rhonda Rousey there is no shame in that. Nor should Warner Bros. have any shame if Chris Pine is truly their choice to play Steve Trevor. This could be a perfect casting as Captain Kirk is a very similar character to Steve Trevor. Not to mention there were militant aspects to Pine's role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek that could translate to Steve Trevor's Army background.

Of course, Steve Trevor over the years has proven to be more than just Wonder Woman's love interest. Steve was the head of A.R.G.U.S. (Advanced Research Group for Uniting Super-Humans), later taken over by Amanda Waller, as well as the UN's liaison to the Justice League. At one point Steve was even a member of the Justice League of America along side the likes of Martian Manhunter. Justice League of America was a team put together by the government to battle the original Justice League if by chance they went rogue.

Steve Trevor of course is on the left of Martian Manhunter, but on the right of Martian Manhunter is Katana. For those that are not aware, Katana will be in the much anticipated movie Suicide Squad. At the moment we do not know if Katana is an actual member of the Suicide Squad as she has never been a member in the comics. With Steve Trevor and Katana being members of the Justice League of America this may indicate a possibility of the Justice League of America showing up later in the DC Cinematic universe. What is even more interesting is Amanda Waller is in charge of the Suicide Squad and the Justice League of America. Then consider that the Suicide Squad movie is currently being shot in the fictional DC town of Midway City where Hawkman is from who is also a member of the Justice League of America. I could go on all day how the DC Cinematic Universe is starting to shape up, but I'm really interested to hear how you all feel about Chris Pine possibly being Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman stand alone movie due to release June 23, 2017. Wonder Woman will be directed by Monster director Patty Jenkins that recently replaced Michelle MacClaren. Please take the time to share your thought below.

Would Chris Pine be a good casting as Steve Trevor?
