Sure, it's still somewhat disappointing that there won't be any Will Smith sightings any time soon on the set of Independence Day 2. However, I think what producer of the film, Dean Devlin, is offering us is a close second in terms of what might get us riled up for the new film.

Jeff Goldblum, a.k.a. David Levinson is back, and I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to need his brain power to fight off some aliens in this much-anticipated sequel.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years. 1995 was an incredible time, but the technology has obviously progressed a ton. I bet this is going to be an awesome sequel, strictly based on the fact that the CGI effects (which were already really good in the first movie for the time) will be MUCH, MUCH better.

The film is also bringing back Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Bill Pullman. I'm all in, to be honest, regardless of cast. I need to see how they rebuilt the White House, mostly.

It was simply too classic, audacious, and iconic to blow up the White House back then! And this speech...
