We're less than a month away from the biggest event of the year for video game enthusiasts. We all have our desires for what the E3 conference should unveil (Fallout 4) and hopefully there will be a serious amount of surprises to take our breath away. Persona 5 is one game that a lot of players are dying to hear Atlus speak about, mainly for the announcement of the title's release date!

But what exactly would you like them to unveil on stage for Persona 5? Obviously the game's release date is something that we can pretty much guarantee we'll hear about, but what else can we expect to get fans excited? A full gameplay presentation with new features, more characters and an expansive look into the storyline would be enough for myself. But the West may not be able to indulge themselves in Persona 5 in 2015.

Persona 5: A 2016 Release Date & Your Desires For E3

The Japanese game industry often releases their titles much later in the year for Western audiences. For example, Persona 4 actually arrived in the West almost 5 months after its release date in Japan. We see this happen time and time again, most recently with a game that I cannot wait to play: Xenoblade Chronicles X, which was released in April and still has no ETA for the West. In fact, if you actually look at Atlus' publishing history, 5 months is the expected gap between Japan and the West.

Catherine for example from 2011 suffered a five month wait before it arrived on our shores. But man was it worth the wait, Catherine is still one of the most unique gaming experiences of this decade - what an accomplishment! There's no doubt that Persona 5 will equally be worth the wait! But with no release date in sight in Japan, we may be unlucky and see Persona 5 move into 2016 for the West along with so many like Uncharted 4, [Tom Clancy's The Division](tag:2684169) and The Legend of Zelda Wii U to name a few.

But with this foreboding news aside, what would you really like Atlus to reveal at E3 for Persona 5? Would you like to see previous characters from the series in this new instalment? Do you want an in-depth look at the alterations to combat? Or are you dying to see what this new adventure's story withholds?

Be sure to let us know what you think about the release date of Persona 5 in the comments and what exactly you hope E3 holds for you next month!
