X-Men Apocalypse is scheduled for a next year release and is one of the most highly advertised superhero movies currently. Bryan Singer keeps delivering concept art and news of new mutants joining the ranks of the X-Men. Already including Professor X, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Cyclops, Jubilee, Storm, Jean Grey, Angel, Caliban, and many more, [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267) is still missing a few key and amazing mutants that need to be in this film.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there has been no word of Mr. Sinister officially making an appearance in the movie. Nathaniel Essex is a mutant who is obsessed with Scott Summers and Jean Grey as well as mutant genetics. He is a helper of Apocalypse and in the cartoons and video games he created Archangel, the darker version of Angel who is also a horseman of Apocalypse. His main belief is that mutants should evolve to their ultimate and final form of mutation.
Mr. Sinister is a great villain, and he could easily be responsible in the film for bringing in new mutants as horsemen for Apocalypse.
Probably in a small role of some sort, Cable is one of the best mutants in my opinion. He's basically from the future and he's the son of Jean Grey and Scott Summers. He has a lot of history with Deadpool as well, so he could easily be used to tie in to that. I don't see Cable in a big major role, just maybe setting up movies for the X-Men down the road.
A New Juggernaut
The Juggernaut was introduced in X-Men: The Last Stand, which I've tried hard to forget. Vinnie Jones did a horrible portrayal of the character, and with Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Jean Grey being recast as younger people, Juggernaut would be an excellent mutant to add in. He could work with the X-Men, or if they want to get really comic booky than they'll introduce him as Xaviers' half brother. I don't know, but I want to see that helmet and not a cheap rip off of Magneto's.
Cannonball isn't a member of the classic X-Men team, but rather a member of the Young Mutants. He can fly at extreme speeds and forms a shield around him while flying. Having another young mutant in the mix could expand the X-Men franchise even more as they have just scratched the tip of the surface with the X-Men, and the Young Mutants could be a great opportunity to do so. He could be used in the same way as Cable, to set up future movies.
I loved Scarlet Witch in AoU, but with the way things are going, it seems like she will be a major part in the MCU. So having her in the X-Men film franchise as well would be very strange unless they kill off the X-Men version. So why not use Quicksilver's other sibling, Polaris. Having the same powers as her father (I think), Lorna Dane could replace Scarlet Witch as the sibling pair in X-Men. It would be a totally new ground to cover in the films, and most people probably acquaint Quicksilver with Scarlet Witch, but I would prefer someone who won't be intwo film universes at once.
