The controversy all started when Christian Bale announced he wasn't going to portray Batman in the post-Dark Knight era. That controversy was to be expected, but it probably more than doubled in size once the casting decision was made for the new movies, starting with [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870). Of course, that decision was for Ben Affleck to take over the reins.

The Internet lost its collective mind after this decision, and some would say for good reason. Ben Affleck tried to tackle Daredevil in 2003, and many people were left utterly disappointed.

If you find yourself in the camp that thinks Affleck was a bad call, you may be in luck. A fan with the YouTube handle of dumbsvillechannel put together a video replacing Affleck with Bale. Perhaps this is what should've been? One big thing I noticed was the 'Thumbs Up' and 'Thumbs Down' ratio... not everybody is convinced.

Judge for yourself:

It may be a small change, but to many, it's exactly what needed to be done. I don't know, though.

Here's the original video for reference. I actually am a pretty big fan of the trailer in its normal format, and I'm pretty sure this film is going to sneakily be really, really good.
