Chris Farley gave so much to my childhood, if that gives my age away in a positive or negative way, oh well. Chris Farley elevated Saturday Night Live, and while it's been a popular show before and after him, in my opinion his era was when things peaked.

My favorite Chris Farley film and one of my favorite comedies of all-time is "Tommy Boy". He's made plenty an impact on many lives through his many roles, including the hilarious and obnoxious bus driver in "Billy Madison" with Adam Sandler. He's most known in partnership with David Spade, another comedian, met while working on Saturday Night Live.

The documentary titled "I Am Chris Farley" has been directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murray, written by Steve Burgess, includes interviews from: Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Bo Derek, Dennis Miller, Bob Odenkirk, Julia Sweeney, Molly Shannon and archive footage of Chris Farley himself. Noticing the absence of bigger names and closer friends is somewhat a letdown but I'm sure to enjoy the film anyway. Those I would've liked to hear from include: Adam Sandler, David Spade, Roy Schneider, Chris Rock, and Mike Myers. I would've liked to hear what each one of them had to say, positive or negative, to create a more full picture in my mind as to who Chris Farley really was.

The documentary will appear on SPIKE August 10th 2015 and followed by a VOD release. Chris Farley died of a drug overdose in 1997 at the age of 33 and unfortunately leaked photographs were found of the scene of his death, creating an even darker perception of who he was in his final days.

The film also includes family accounts of who Chris was, including his brother Tom Jr. who also wrote Chris's biography "the Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts".

Chris Farley left many legendary comedic moments during his short career. He was, is, and always will be Hollywood's best and funniest fat man.
