I have been reading a lot of posts about the MCU, and more specifically, about the forthcoming [The Avengers: Infinity War](tag:738027) movies. Some people are speculating that the entire thing is going to play out with Doctor Strange or the Vision taking on the role of Adam Warlock in the fight against Thanos. I'm not ruling it out as a possibility, they did introduce Howard the Duck at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy rather than providing anything remotely resembling an interesting plot point or a tease for things to come. However, I will be super pissed if they cut such a huge piece of what made the Infinity Gauntlet great out of the movies. I don't know what the plan is and I know Adam Warlock is not a big name comic hero like The Hulk or Iron-man, but other than hardcore fans, who knew any of the Guardians of the Galaxy before it became the biggest blockbuster of the summer last year?

Honestly, if Warlock doesn't show up soon, I'm going to rip my hair out. Seriously, how are the current MCU heroes going to defeat Thanos? I don't feel like they could beat him when he doesn't have the Gauntlet and nobody on the current roster of heroes has the necessary knowledge or insight into Thanos' warped mind to figure out how to stop him. I can deal with differences between the comics and the movies, but if the difference is either that the power of the Infinity Gauntlet is turned down to a more easily manageable level or Adam Warlock is cut out from the movies or given some bit part cameo, then the deal is broken. They already let Sony ruin Venom in Spider-man 3 and Deadpool in Wolverine. If they ruin one of the greatest comic stories ever written and one of the coolest characters ever created, then alienated fanboys will break the internet. Marvel, if you're listening, please respect the writing talent of Jim Starlin and let his story be told. It's what we all want.

PS, please don't have Warlock be Star Lord's dad. That seems like a stupid and completely unnecessary idea.
