Well, 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand disapponited legions of fans due to the deaths and depowering characters, with many being fan favorites. It was most shocking to see Jean's death at the end of the movie. By the time X-Men: Days of Future Past was released, the film erased The Last Stand in the continuity by bringing back Jean and Cyclops, a moment that made fans happy. In this new timeline, it seems that Jean never became the Pheonix, she never killed Cyclops and Wolverine never killed her, thus Cyclops, Wolverine and Jean have reatained their love triangle. When i saw the ending of Days of Future Past, i was so confused that Mystique posed as Maj. Stryker and pulled Wolverine out of the Polomatic River. It would been better if the real Stryker was the one who pulled Wolverine out the river, than the Weapon X program would have happened and Wolverine would have got the adamantium claws. Upon seeing Days of Future Past ending where Mystique pulled off Wolverine, i asked myself "What's gonna happen next?". With X-Men: Apocalypse will be released sometime in 2016, i'm pretty sure that what happened after Days of Future Past will be revealed. Honestly, X-Men 1 & 2 were awsome, so i think that X-Men: Apocalypse should erase X-Men: The Last Stand at the end of the move and also alter X2's ending, since Jean and Cyclops are alive.
