Dustin Diamond, who played lovable geek Screech in the hugely popular Saved By The Bell, could face up to 10 months jail time for his involvement in a bar brawl, which resulted in a man being stabbed.
The once successful child actor, now 38, was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, but was not convicted for the more serious charge of recklessly endangering public safety.
The argument started while Dustin and his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, were drinking in The Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington, Wisconsin, on Christmas Day. Dustin claims his girlfriend was punched in the face, so he pulled out the knife to protect her.
The victim, Casey Smet, wasn't aware that he had been stabbed until after he left the bar, and CCTV of the incident being too blurry to make out exactly what happened during the altercation.
Diamond's girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, was also charged with disorderly conduct, and both will be sentenced at a later date.
It seems to have been all downhill for the Saved By The Bell star, who - after the show and subsequent spin-offs he was involved in got cancelled in 2000 - has made some pretty strange career choices.
After running into financial troubles, he thought he would jump on the 'celebrity sex tape leak scandal' and released his own charmingly titled; Screeched – Saved by the Smell.
Normally a sex tape can be a rather lucrative project, earning the person millions of dollars. Not for poor Dustin, who raked in a meagre $300,000. He also later confessed on the TV show Where Are They Now? that he had actually used a stunt double to film his sex scenes.
He has also participated in lots of reality TV, such as Celebrity Fit Club, Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, and he was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in England in 2013.
