During a concert on Saturday night in Tijuana, Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias had a bit of a run-in with a drone filming the show. In an attempt to give viewers a look at the concert from his point of view, Iglesias grabbed hold of the drone and cut his hand pretty badly in the process in front of nearly 12,000 fans.

Despite being injured and bleeding profusely, Iglesias continued performing for another 30 minutes in his blood-stained white t-shirt. Shortly after, the performer was flown to L.A. to meet with a specialist.

According to a representative from his team, Enrique is undergoing surgery today, but will be able to head back on tour soon.

Thank you to all for your concern and good wishes. Enrique is currently undergoing reconstructive hand surgery today. He will resume his tour July 3rd in Mexico City. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Best wishes to Enrique! Hopefully the next time, he'll stay away from those pesky drone blades.

"Throw your hands in the air, and wave them're aware of just how dangerous drones can be when not handled properly." That's what I imagine Iglesias might be singing to crowds at his upcoming shows. Not super catchy, but pretty informative!
