It's extraordinary to think that the most prevalent franchise of our previous console generation was in fact, Lego. These games have taken us to some of our favourite locations in some of the most respected franchises in the world. Somehow they manage to walk the tightrope with skill, balancing both fan service with their own delightful humour and, to be fair, repetitive gameplay. Yet even with the series' faults, they're still a whole load of fun whether you play alone or with friends!

Jurassic World will be the next instalment to get the Lego treatment and it actually looks pretty damn cool! But I gotta say, it'll have a hard time taking the top spot from the ultimate Lego game for me. Lego Jurassic World will finally be getting its release date this month along with the film, but can it beat this?!

Lego Jurassic World: Can it Beat Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga On Release Date?!

There are so many different games within this series that you could say are the best. For instance, I love the Lord of the Rings Lego games (not The Hobbit one) purely because they actually use the voices of the cast. Reliving the films in Lego form was something I never thought I wanted until I had it. The Harry Potter games have their own form of awesomeness in how they combine elements of the films with the books, the same can be said for the Batman games except with comic books!

But being such a great fan of Star Wars (isn't the wait for Christmas and [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158) just excruciating?!?!) it was a thrill to be able to play through some of the most famous moments from the series with an added load of Lego charm. Forget about the new films, the old ones is where its at, and the development team did a great job of dolling out piles of fan service to go with some genuinely great gameplay moments!

But what's your favourite Lego game? I think it more often corresponds with your love for the franchise its covering. If you don't like the source material, the Lego games won't have that much to offer you. Obviously the Lego Marvel game was well received as the amount of fans for that franchise is insanely huge! I'm not exactly the most devoted Marvel fan, so Star Wars was obviously number one for me.

But do you think Lego Jurassic World has what it takes to top your favourite Lego game? Could it really have enough in it to be the best? Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below and whether you're excited for the release date of Lego Jurassic World!
