Over the years there has been more than several accounts of people believing that the people in positions of power do things to control the smaller people. From poisoning the general population to make us 'compliant', assassinating major political figures, all the way to faking hugely important world events.
Just about everything important that has happened has some sort of conspiracy theory attached to it.
So just what are these conspiracy theories, and more importantly do you believe in any of them?
1. Area 51
Theory: Area 51 houses aliens and crashed spaceships.
Is the truth out there and the American Government are just hiding it from us?!
Area 51 is a highly restricted Air Force base, about 150 miles outside of Las Vegas. Many people believe that the land is used by the Government to store crashed spaceships. Scientists are then employed to reverse-engineer the aliens' much more superior technology.
There are been accounts of people seeing UFO's in and around this area, there has even been a video released of an apparent alien autopsy, which is said to have been leaked from Area 51.
Of course many people just say that the area is heavily restricted as the grounds contain highly dangerous weaponry, so it's guarded to protect the equipment.
However, the ambiguous line used by the government when referring to Area 51 is; "The details of Area 51 are classified for purposes of national security", this has only lead some people to further believe that there are spaceships being kept there!
Do You Think The US Government Are Keeping Aliens In Area 51?!
Theory: Chemtrails are chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed to harm humans.
Believers in the chemtrail theory say normal contrails, the trails that come out of the backs of planes, clear very easily, but chemtrails stay visible in the area due to all the chemicals they contain.
However professionals have debunked this by saying that the trails are just condensation left behind from aircraft. There has been such an uproar about it that many official agencies have been bombarded with requests for a full investigation.
Theorists believe that the chemicals are sprayed for solar radiation management, psychological manipulation, human population control, weather modification, or biological or chemical warfare. They also state that the trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.
Do You Believe In Chemtrails?!
3. Moon Landing
Theory: The moon landing was a hoax.
So it seems that man hasn't landed on the moon after all. The rumor is that America were so desperate to beat the Russians in the bid for space domination that they actually faked the lunar landing in order to take the glory.
Neil Armstrong in fact took his 'giant leap for mankind' not on the moon, but, depending which source you believe,
either deep in the no mans land of Area 51 or in a Hollywood studio.
There is also the issue of the American flag blowing in the breeze. Seen as though there's no air in space, it seems highly unlikely it would be blowing around like that.
People also believe that director Stanley Kubrick helped stage the landing, his 1963 movie 2001: A Space Odyssey proves there was the technology to create a very realistic space scene.
NASA keep the footage close to their chests, so it's hard to discover if we really did land on the moon.
Did The Moon Landing Happen?
4. John F. Kennedy Assassination
Theory: John F. Kennedy wasn't killed by Lee Harvey Oswald.
President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963.
He was hit by two bullets, one in the head, one in the neck while waving at crowds in an open-topped limo driving through Dealey Plaza in Dallas with his wife Jackie.
Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with killing him, and a presidential commission headed by Chief Justice Earl Warren found that Oswald acted alone.
A poll was conducted in 2003 which discovered that 70% of Americans believe that the presidents death was part of a much deeper plot.
A popular theory is that a second gunman was involved in the killing, but no-one else was ever brought to justice. Or that the CIA organized the hit as they were unhappy about the Presidents' recent decisions on the Bay of Pigs.
Was JFK Killed By Lee Harvey Oswald?
5. New World Order
Theory: The world is ruled by an elite group of the rich and powerful.
It seems this group of people are hell bent on ruling the world this group will then banish individual governments and rule the world as a global leader.
One group, the Illuminati, are responsible for the eye that can be found on the $1 bill.
The problem with the acceptance and approval of any New World Order is that no government has ever offered real hope and peace for mankind. It is widely agreed that the NWO have a selfish agenda to profit themselves, rather than work to create a better world.
The group would cull most of the world's population leaving just two billion people who would create an elite human race and they would live in hidden cities buried underground, or on the moon.
It's been told that rapper Jay Z and wife Beyonce are amongst the in crowd of the NWO.
Do You Believe In The New World Order?
Theory: Fluoride is a mind control drug.
You might be used to seeing the word 'fluoride' on your toothpaste, as it is a chemical that stops tooth decay.
What you might not know is that fluoride is also added to drinking water, is it to help with tooth decay? Or, like some people believe, for mind control?!
Since fluoridation's inception in the 1950s those against it have said tests carried out that showed "no adverse effects to drinking water containing fluoride" were never actually conducted.
Conspiracy theorists claim that;
- Fluoridation is part of a Communitarian, Fascist or New World Order or Bank for International Settlements plot to pacify people so that they more easily trust authority and central banker pervasive propaganda.
This notion is mentioned in Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove.
- Fluoridation was designed by the military–industrial complex to protect the U.S. atomic weapons program from litigation.
- Fluoridation was pioneered by a German chemical company to make people submissive to those in power.
- Fluoridation was used in Russian prison camps and produces schizophrenia.
- Fluoridation is a smokescreen to cover failure to provide dental care to the poor.
Pretty scary stuff when you think about it, I might have to find some fluoride free toothpaste!
Are We Being Mind Controlled Through Our Water Supply
7. Global Warming
Theory: There is no such thing as Global Warming.
In recent years it has been a huge issue that global warming is on the increase and that we are destroying the earth, literally.
The ice caps are melting, the Ozone layer has huge holes in it meaning we are more likely to get skin cancer.
Huge factories are pumping toxic fumes into the ether and basically the world is going to explode!
Or, maybe it isn't.
Global warming conspiracy theorists allege that, through worldwide acts of professional and criminal misconduct, the science behind global warming has been invented or distorted for ideological or financial reasons, or both.
But to debunk this theory the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or the IPCC official findings state;
Human influence has been detected in warming of the atmosphere and the ocean, in changes in the global water cycle, in reductions in snow and ice, in global mean sea level rise, and in changes in some climate extremes. This evidence for human influence has grown since AR4. It is extremely likely (95–100%) that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century.
And we do cut down a lot of trees, who didn't get really upset watching Ferngully?!
Theory: Reptiles rule the world.
Similar to the theory of the NWO writer David Icke wrote a book in 1998 called "The Biggest Secret" which states that the world is run by shapeshifting lizards from star constellation Draco.
How did no-one realize earlier?!
Reptiles came down to earth and then had sex with humans who, David believes, now make up the Illuminati.
These reptiles include;
Barack Obama, the Queen of England, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and the Bush family.
The major think that counters this argument is, there is no evidence to support it whatsoever. However David has many followers and his seminars are hugely popular.
