Prison Break To Return As A Limited Series At FOX!
After ending in 2009, Prison Break may be returning to our screens in a limited series.
If it does return, it is said to be about 12 or so episodes and will have a close-ended storyline, along the lines of 24: Live Another Day.
Prison Break aired on FOX from 2005-2009 and starred Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper and Sarah Wayne Callies.
No official announcement has been made, no news on casting or episode count but there is a possibility main stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell could returns brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.
Both men have both made numerous appearances in The Flash and will make the move over to The Legends Of Tomorrow in 2016 with Miller playing Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave.
Earlier this year Miller told E! News that he pitched the idea of a return to Prison Break to FOX and “they seemed to think there was something there.”
Then Gary Newman, Fox co-chairman, said at the press tour for the Television Critics Association, that Prison Break would make “the perfect event series.”
This of course wouldn't be the first time a cancelled FOX series has returned from the dead. Family Guy was cancelled twice before being brought back, Firefly returned with a movie, Serenity, while Arrested Development moved over to Netflix, 24: Live Another Day saw Jack Bauer return and most recently X-Files was announced as returning to TV screens.
