I'm sure some of you would recognize this:

For those who don't know, here's what it is...

As you can tell from the picture, Marvel and TellTale Games, famous for games like Tales from the Borderlands and their video game adaptations of TV shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, are teaming up to create an awesome new Marvel video game to be released in 2017. That means it will be released around the same time as Marvel movies like Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Thor: Ragnarok. I wonder if that means this game will be based on one of these films.

If not, here are some other ideas as to what this game might be about:

Marvel Secret Wars

By 'Marvel Secret Wars' I mean this 'Secret Wars,' not the original story. If I remember what IGN said on a report about the ending of the Marvel Universe correctly, then there might be a possibility of a video game being based on this comic book story arc. Then again, that was just a thought, and it hasn't really been made official yet.

But, if they were to do a 'Secret Wars' video game, I would expect an almost Injustice-style gameplay and character design. Imagine that, using a DC and Warner Bros. video game as a reference for Marvel and TellTale game.

Another Try at a Marvel MMO

Don't get me wrong, I love playing Marvel Heroes 2015. I especially love that you get to play as a variety of Marvel characters in suits similar to their costumes from previous and current storylines. The only downside is that it doesn't feel like an MMO. What I would truly consider an MMO is DC Universe Online, and the fact that you can create your character the way you want to, even though you can't completely look like the hero that you really want to look like.

Another small fault to this game is the fact that it leaves out certain characters, such as Quicksilver. He's pretty much Marvel's version of the Flash, only with less spandex, depending on what costume you want him in. He has a lot of costumes, for instance, his recent movie adaptation costume, his uncanny Avengers suit, his all new X-Factor suit, and, of course, his classic look: a big, silver lightning bolt right across his chest and lightning bolt-themed marks on his gloves and boots.

But, I digress...

A Retry at an Avengers Video Game

Almost 3 years ago, back when the Avengers movie was still the biggest thing since Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, there were talks of an Avengers video game by THQ.

The story was supposed to look a little like this: The Avengers: Age of Ultron sort of left off when the mid-credit scene ended and we last saw Thanos. The Avengers were about to face off with the most vile creatures in the galaxy, the Skrulls.

This was supposed to be a third-person game where you get to play all your favorite Avengers (at the time of the movie). Unfortunately, that game never got to see the light of day, even with all the concept art featuring the Skrulls. Apparently, THQ Australia and Blue Tongue Studios shut down right as they were about to release the game.

But this could be a chance at redemption. Maybe... either way, if they do bring an Avengers game back to life, then I'd definitely be pleased. But that's just my two cents.

To me, either one of these video games would definitely be satisfying, but, I guess we won't know until 2017. Only about two years left. The countdown continues...
