Spielberg and Tom Hanks? the upcoming Bridge of spies movie looks like it could be another triumph for Spielberg and another award winning performance by Tom Hanks. The subject matter of the film has alot to do with why it will become a topic of interest considering the current tension between the U.S. and Russia. It is known the president Vladimir Putin has forces lined up along the Ukranian border and has been carrying out a number of military training exercises with ground troops and various aircraft.Bridge of spies will take another trip down memory lane and highlight one of the most impactful moments of the Cold-war.

the film is based on the 1960 U-2 incident and novel of the same name for non-fiction book by Giles Whittell, in which lawyer James B. Donovan (Hanks) is thrust into the center of the Cold War when he is given a mission to negotiate the release of Francis Gary Powers, a pilot whose plane was shot down in the Soviet Union.

Bridge of spies will ignite a different conversation about the Cold War and how it changed the course of history. The Cold War may not have been the most violent war, but there was still alot of tension and bottled hostility on both sides. If you watched the trailer for this film then it can be assumed that you have made up your mind on whether or not you are going to see the movie in theaters. Historical films have long been considered gems in film industry since many movie-goers like to watch how historical events played out on the big screen and then have long-winded debates or discussions about the historical inaccuracies. If you aren't interested in the movie then you won't have a hard time trying to find an alternative equivalent.
