June 5th...you may believe it to be just like any other ordinary day when in fact it marks the day that Harry Potter's life long "frenemy" came into this world. A super Potter fan named Gillian Grace realized that Monday, June 5th marked Malfoy's 35th birthday and decided to go straight to the source for confirmation! Check it out!
As you can see, not only did Rowling confirm Grace's impressive deduction but was obviously very bitter about the tendency of misguided girls to fall in love with the anti-hero. This isn't the first time the successful author has mentioned her disappointment in her female audience's choice of men. In a Pottermore commentary concerning Draco Malfoy, Rowling describes young Malfoy as an "archetypal bully" obsessed with his own perceived superiority and determined to undermine the value of others.
However, as the series progresses, one begins to realize how human and broken Malfoy truly is, being constantly surrounded by darkness and manipulated and abused for the Dark Lord's use. Yes, Draco deserves to be pitied, and yes, deep (deep, deep...) down he possesses "unextinguished good." Nevertheless, Rowling makes it very clear that "Draco was not concealing a heart of gold under all that sneering and prejudice and that no, he and Harry were not destined to end up best friends." In other words, he really was that much of a jerk, folks.
Nevertheless, it is Draco's birthday after all! That being said, let's check out some of his best moments throughout the films, shall we?
