Details are what makes a portrait. And in these alternative movie posters by Flore Maquin that replace classic poster images with images of their stars, it's the little details that elevate them.

The reflections in sunglasses: the objects of the past that fixate in Django's eyes (Jamie Foxx) in Django Unchained, the horror of the present reflected in the eyes of Chief Brody from Jaws, the glimpse of a future protege in the glasses of Colin Firth in the Kingsmen poster.

Then there is the quick sizing you up look from Immortan Joe on the Mad Max: Fury Road poster, Uma Thurman's pensive pierce from Pulp Fiction that makes sucking a milkshake so much more erotic and mysterious, and the enigmatic blank stare from Mila Jovovich on The Fifth Element portrait, the intensity of hurt and pain caught in the stare of Sylvester Stallone on the First Blood image.

There is much to admire emotionally in the Janus poses of Brad Pitt and Ed Norton in the Fight Club poster and of Jessica Chastain and Matthew McConaughey on the Interstellar print and the classic portrayal of the two great movie Jokers, Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson.
