I've often wondered how much Muggle fads and trends would permeate the walls of Hogwarts. True, our feeble non-magic electronics wouldn't work within the walls of the school, but once the students go home for Summer, all bets are off!

In an age of selfies and Kylie Jenner lip challenges - both of which I am semi-ashamed to say I've been a part of - it's funny to imagine our favorite witches and wizards posing for an Instagram photo and finding the need to use a selfie stick.

Even though Harry Potter took place long before iPhones were invented and Instagram blew up, Japanese Twitter user Kawori started photoshopping images of the Harry Potter crew caught mid-selfie with camera phones attached to the ends of their wands.

This, of course, prompted others to do the same and the results are pretty funny!

Is this anything like texting and driving? If so, I think Harry should be a little more careful.

I'm not sure if you want to go with that face for a photo, Ron.

Way to take a battle and turn it into a great IG opportunity, Harry. Good thinking!

I see you getting into the selfie game, Professor, and I respect that.

Ron's struggle with the changing fads

It looks like it took Ron a few years to really get the hang of the wand selfie. C'mon man, that's not even an iPad with a camera. You really need to sort out your priorities.

If there isn't a spell for this already, there should be.
