Back in the day, if you wanted to pretend to be a Jedi, you had to find a broomstick, pool cue or other long object and swing it around in your garage. Take the Star Wars kid for example. He knew exactly what he was doing.
However, that was 2002, things are different now. For one thing, technology such as Oculus Rift can remove you from this dull, boring world and immerse you into one which includes laser swords.
YouTuber, Benjamin Teitler recently uploaded a video which shows him prancing around a room while playing the Oculus Rift lightsaber. Check it out below:
At the moment, the DK2 - which is being used by Teitler in this video - is an expensive piece of kit. Although he points out that Valve's upcoming Vive tracking system and head-mounted display will soon be available at consumer prices.
Apparently, you're still going to need a pretty big living room.
