Leading up to my midnight premiere run of [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035), I did what any Marvel fan would do...

I had a marathon.

I went back and watched all of the MCU movies, even borrowing the two that I didn't personally have. I am currently going through and writing reviews of each one. So, stay tuned!

While doing this, I see many different puzzle pieces fitting together. Suddenly I hear just little side comments that I now understand.

Basically me during my marathon.
Basically me during my marathon.

The MCU is known for connecting all of their movies. Each movie leads to the next movie, or even the next set of movies.

And, I think I may have uncovered something...

I just finished reviewing and re-watching The Incredible Hulk again. Everything was just like it was the first time I watched it. However, I watched it again after the announcement that Thadeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is going to be in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409).

At first, I didn't think much about it. Just another character that this seemingly character-heavy movie is going to have. And then... I got to the end of the movie and made it to this scene:

The end-scene where Tony Stark meets up and talks to General Ross.

Before, I didn't think much about this particular scene at all.

You should listen. What if I told you we were putting a team together?

Why was Tony telling this man about The Avengers? Tony himself just found out about it. All that we know of in this movie, is that he provides General Ross with Stark tech. Nothing else is shown, until we get to this ending scene.

This wasn't a recruitment to join the Avengers. It wasn't Nick Fury or anyone seemingly with S.H.I.E.L.D. No, it was the man that just found out about it himself.

Now, the natural assumption is that he is talking about the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. However, we haven't seen General Ross since this meeting. He hasn't been shown to have any involvement in the Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D.

Could it be, and this is just my theory, that Tony knew from the beginning that something like Civil War was going to happen?

Could it be that Tony has been working with General Ross to figure out how to neutralize the other super-people like himself? Without his suits, Tony is very vulnerable.

It's possible that this is a crazy theory, but why did this meeting happen? And why has nothing happened from it? Marvel always has a reason for the things that they do. So, what is their reason behind this?

We see that the two have an 'alliance' of some sort. We know that General Ross wants whatever is inside of the Hulk. Well, guess who else has something like that running through his veins?

Exactly, Cap.

And who is the opposing side of this huge argument?

So, I think that it is very possible that Tony is working with General Ross, and has been since this meeting.

What do you think?
