After helping to thwart Hydra, Agent Phil Coulson was appointed as Director and tasked with rebuilding the agency. By his side are Agent Melinda May, expert pilot, martial artist and longtime friend, and computer hacker Skye, now a full-fledged S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Agent Leo Fitz, brilliant engineer, and Agent Jemma Simmons, genius bio-chemist, are dealing with the impacts of their near-death experience at the hands of Grant Ward, a highly trained agent in combat and espionage, who was found to be a Hydra mole. Also joining Coulson's core team is Lance Hunter, a dashing mercenary sharp shooter with a quick wit.

I was excited to have AOS back again.

The big thing for me is the cast. Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), May (Ming-Na Wen), Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) were still my favourites to watch. I found myself liking Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Ward (Brett Dalton) this season; I absolutely loathed them in Season 1.

Things were a lot more serious in this season. Coulson wasn’t as funny and sarcastic as he was previously which I missed.

I also missed the team missions; there was a lot of individual stuff going on for each of the characters and no helping the little people; it was a lot of infighting.

I really liked the early scenes with Fitz and Ward. I actually believe that Ward is sorry for what he did and regrets losing them as a team and some as friends but as the season went on you get to see that Ward is kind of nuts!

In the second half of the season, I found myself getting annoyed with the number of teams on the show; SHIELD, real SHIELD, Ward/Agent 33 and the Inhumans.

I am definitely interested to see where the show will go with the Inhumans before the film is released.

I wasn’t really fussed about the new agents on the show, Hunter (Nick Blood) being the only one I mildly liked but I didn’t like how Trip (B.J. Britt) seemed to be downgraded a lot when the show came back for Season Two.

I love the set out that AOS has with Agent Carter; love having straight, uninterrupted runs before and after the midseason break.

Can’t wait to see Season Three, especially after those last seconds of the finale!
