Batman: Arkham Knight from WB Games and Rocksteady is set to release by the end of the month and every Batman fan including myself am eagerly anticipating the game's launch. I myself forked over the money for that fancy silver PS4 system with the Batman decals on them just because of my love for the series. But a lingering question still sits with me as to wither or not the game will live up to my expectations.

Let's face it Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City are two of the best licensed games ever crafted and while Arkham Origins missed the mark it was still an alright experience when compared to a lot of other rushed games like Assassin's Creed Unity or Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. But Arkham Knight has been delayed time after time and the last couple of games I was waiting for that faced delays were lack luster at best and Aliens: Colonial Marines at worst. My fear is with this being such a HUGE game with some many pieces mixed in I fear that it might backfire.

Do you think Batman: Arkham Knight will live up to the hype?

Another thing that may hurt the game is this new Season Pass that Warner Brothers is pushing that gates off a bunch of content that you can only get with the pass plus the big expansion pack where you play as Batgirl and they expect you to pay an additional $40 for the pass. With the system I pre-ordered through GameStop I get access to Harley Quinn and Red Hood story missions but if I want Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman I will either need to spend the extra $40 on the season pass (which if I did that would be the first Season Pass I've ever purchased) or I will have to hold out and hope each one is available digitally or sit and hope that a Game of the Year edition comes out later on with all the content on the disc.

But then I remember who is making the game, Rocksteady. These people have done nothing to make not trust them and they are one of the few developers that I am always excited to see what they are doing. I have faith that the game will be amazing, will it live up to the hype though? I can't say there are very few things that I've seen hyped up as much as this game and for many people that I know this is their reason to upgrade for the next generation systems. Only time will tell if the game will be good but I think we will be in for one heck of a ride later this month. Thanks for reading and remember to Keep Calm and Game On!
